Who we are
We are a registered New Zealand company “Southern Brewery Limited” trading as “The Factory Invercargill”. Our website address is: https://www.thefactoryinvercargill.co.nz.
Age Requirements for purchasing products from us
To comply with the our liquor licence issued by the Invercargill City Council and relevant New Zealand legislation we require that the purchaser and/or receiver of any product(s) from this website is 18 years of age or older. You are responsible to comply with any additional local legislation (e.g. age restrictions in a different country); where this relates to the legal age for purchasing alcohol or any other products listed on this website, these will never be less than the New Zealand requirements.
Our off licence allows brewery visits and cellar door sales. These are however restricted to our trading hours.
Please note, at the time of writing we are not open every day. If you would like to organise a brewery visit please contact us through our contact page or dial 0508 – Craft Beer (0508 – 272 382).
All our sales are final and binding. Ticket sales are specific to the date listed on the ticket and are non-refundable and non-transferable, unless by mutual agreement or requirements under relevant legislation (e.g. consumers guarantees act).
If you have any complaints regarding our products please contact us in the first instance. We are proud of what we produce and welcome the opportunity to resolve any matters with you in the first instance.
We reserve the right to cancel your order at any stage. Should this happen we will issue a refund on any revenue received in relation to your order where this is applicable. Applicability will be assessed on basis of the consumers guarantees act or any other relevant legislation.
The world pandemic has had a significant impact on operations of all businesses. We consider COVID-19 a force majeure when the government implements level 3 and level 4 lockdown policies. Any other levels of lockdown are considered operations as usual, albeit with some imposed limitations.
Naturally, we will comply with all restrictions and guidelines as imposed by the government, and we will expect any customers to do the same. Any non-compliance may result in a referral to the appropriate authorities.
As our business is dynamic we cannot guarantee product availability all the time. We are a Craft Brewery and accordingly our products will, from time to time, experience some variance. Variances may result from alterations to our recipes as we continue to refine our products, atmospheric conditions, the moon phases, the music we listen to, or other reasons. Please rest assured in the knowledge that no matter what, product quality is our sole drive in brewing better beer!
